... And baby makes three!

First look at our little peanut at
8 weeks!

Second look at our babe at 11 Wks & 3 days!

Ultrasound at 18 Wks & 3 days!
Look at those cute lips & nose!

Had a couple people over to celebrate with us
and I made a gender reveal cake!!

Another ultrasound at 18 Wks 5 days!

Just this past Thursday! She's getting bigger!

How far along are you? 20 weeks and 1 day today!

Due Date: January 11, 2014... scheduled C-section for January 6th (maybe earlier)

Size of baby right now: The size of a banana! Weighs about 10.5 ounces and is 10 inches from from head to toe!

Baby's Heartbeat: 150 at last Ultrasound

Gender: GIRL!

Maternity Clothes: Started wearing them around 12 weeks

Stretch Marks?: I don't think any from this pregnancy, but ones that are my sweet reminder of carrying my sweet Maggie Grace for 41 weeks!

Movement: Starting feeling this little one squirming around at 15 weeks, much earlier then I felt with Maggie Grace!

Food Cravings: Anything sweet and I can't get enough of cantaloupe!

Comparison to last pregnancies: This pregnancy is very similar to Maggie Grace's, my second pregnancy was the unusual one therefore we are thinking that sweet baby was a boy.

Doctor's Appointments: I love my doctor here and feel like I am in very capable hands and I am being watched very closely! We have already seen our little girl (on ultrasounds) 5 times! The only perk of being a 'high risk' pregnancy is seeing her so much! My blood pressure is normal, which is a nice change compared to my other pregnancies! I think I contribute that to prayer, being much more active this pregnancy then any of my other, and low stress! Not moving half way across the country half way through a pregnancy is SO nice!

What am I looking forward to?: Seeing her move in my belly, JC getting to feel her move! Really just holding her and bringing her home!

JC and I are both very excited about this unexpected blessing in our life (we weren't even going to 'try' for another baby until January!) guess God had other plans! We have both felt very good about this pregnancy from the beginning. The morning we found out we were expecting again I just laid in bed and smiled up at God like ok if this is when we are meant to have our next baby I will trust you. And since that first day I have felt God's presence and reassuring whispering that everything will be ok and to trust him, which is something I am daily working on and praying that it will get easier the further along I get! I am so excited to finally share this news with you! We wanted to wait until 20 weeks and make sure everything was looking good before we announced it online... debated waiting until we had her, but I wanted you to experience this pregnancy with me and selfishly could use all the prayers we can get! So be prepared for lots of pictures of my growing bump, baby projects, and my thoughts as I experience another wonderful miracle!

Indeed you created my inward parts; you wove me together in my mother's womb.I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works, and my soul knows it well.
Psalms 139:13,14

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11 (my life verse)

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

Those Defining Moments in Life.

Those moments in life that help define who are as people;graduating high school, graduating college, getting engaged, getting married, getting our first grown up job, having kids, buying a house... the list goes on. And then there are those moments in life that aren't so positive and that are hard; losing a parent, losing a child, losing your job.
These moments are defining as well but my challenge to you is to not let those negative moments define who you are! Let these moments be defining in the way that they happened and they are part of your life, but they don't define who you are... don't let them become your "label" if you will.
I remember growing up having a mom who instilled confidence in me, confidence that I carry with me today. I remember a particular orthodontist appointment where I had something adjusted and my mouth was a mess, the classic brace face case and the orthodontist said "Don't let this hold you back or affect you at school with other kids." and I said "I won't." Leaving his office that day I felt good, confident, knowing that I wouldn't let my braces define who I was... they were just a part of me.
To this day I remember that feeling walking out of his office, I'm glad I knew what that feeling felt like at a young age. Being able to carry that with me into adulthood has helped me tremendously with the tragedies I have faced, and being able to move on in life and heal.
How ever I could not achieve this feeling all on my own, my God, my Savior is the one who gives me the strength and courage to carry on after my world has been turned upside down. On those days that I feel weak and completely human I look to him, to scripture for my strength.
So if you are going through a rough patch right now I urge you to allow this time to be a defining moment in your life, but don't let it define who you are. Let it be a moment that can strengthen you, teach you, and hopefully someday help other people who are going through the same thing!

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Romans 12

As I sat doing my devotional this morning I read Romans 12 and just thought it was a great reminder of how to live our lives and how to treat one another... so I thought I would share it with you! I hope you all have a blessed Thursday my friends!

A Living Sacrifice

12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Humble Service in the Body of Christ

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Love in Action

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.
17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge,my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[d] says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[e]
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
