Keeping my eyes on Him.

As a christian we know that we should keep our eyes on God when times get hard. Well I don't know if it's just me, but I find that difficult to do... I just get so wrapped up in my own thoughts and expectations that I don't keep my eyes on Him. I am struggling big time with trusting God and His plan, normally I feel like I'm pretty good at trusting Him. For what ever reason right now this is what my heart and mind are struggling with. As I was reading my morning devotional (from Shereadstruth.com) this line really stuck out to me:

Christ is the sole means of our salvation. Our hope is truly built on nothing less than Jesus.

My prayer for today is that I can keep my eyes on the Lord even in the middle of this stormy season of life and know wholeheartedly that my hope is built on Jesus and that He will fulfill what He sees fit for our life right now.

And I will praise you in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For you are who you are
No matter where I am
And every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise you in the storm.

~Praise You In The Storm by Casting Crowns

Just wanted to share some quick thoughts with you guys today! Praying that these words my touch your heart and help you in whatever you are facing today! Life is tough but our God is Tougher, He will give you the strength you need to carry on! Love to you my friends on this Wednesday morning!

A Desire for More...

Photo Credit to She Reads Truth
Do you ever have those days where you wake up and think "is this it, this is all life is about... wake up, go to work (and not get paid enough money for how hard you work), come home go to sleep and get up to do all over again the next day. I have been struggling a lot lately with my call in life, the move to MN has been a very difficult one for me. I don't know why I thought we would get here and everything would be perfect, it has been very hard, money is super tight because both JC and I weren't working for 2.5 weeks, we are paying a lot just in gas money to get to work (we both have about a 45 minute commute to duluth) getting things switched over to MN (like our WIC & SNAP stuff) have been stressful only to find out we don't qualify for any assistance. We do qualify for state health insurance, which is great!
With all that being said guess what? God had provided exactly what we needed when we needed it. We have a roof over our heads and have been able to pay rent even with lack of funds, sure we have very little in our checking account until JC gets paid on Friday but we didn't overdraft our account! We have food to feed the kids and clothes on our backs, beds to sleep in. Life is hard right now, but God is meeting us right where we are, he is listening to our cries and our stresses. JC has not been enjoying his job at Volkswagen (he is sitting behind a desk, working in the parts department and not working with his hands) so God opened up a new job possibility right
here in town for him... he turned in his application yesterday! So we are praying that if its in God's plan for that job to work out for him! My new Walgreens store has been an adjustment and I've been struggling with different things when it comes to my job.

I have this craving to do more with my life and my time, what that looks like I'm not sure... but my God knows how he is going to use me and I need to just put my trust in Him and His plan. But boy is that easier said than done, I have a desire to be a resource for women, to be an encourager, to be a sister in the tough times because I have been there. So I will just continue to pray about Him using me until he makes it evident on what he wants me to do.
I have learned lately that life is both dark and light at once... life will always have its hard and really dark times but we need to focus on the light in the darkness (so much harder to do at times than other) God is our light (or star) in the dark night sky... all we have to do is look UP!
So I guess what I'm saying friends is that life is hard and we may be doubting what we are here on this earth for, but God has our back and HE knows the plan so we need to TRUST in Him! This is something I am constantly working on myself especially as of lately!
Blessings on your week!

Thanks for being an awesome daddy honey!

My Boy!

And so begins our new journey in Minnesota!

The boxes are all unpacked, all that is left to do is decorate and to get a few more things we need for the house. JC is still waiting to start work (we thought he would have been able to start last week, so we're a little frustrated about that) We have a to do list of things we need to get done to become residents of MN that I'm slowing chipping away at and have to wait to get paid to be able to do some of the things. Money is tight because a big move like this cost quit a bit to do, but we are trusting that God will continue to provide like he always has. Over the last 2.5 weeks we have savored all the family time we have had, I'm sad this time is coming to an end as I head back to work tomorrow morning. At the same time I am excited to start at my new store and get back into the swing of things. Thank you to those of you who prayed for our journey to MN from NH, we kindly ask that you keep those prayers coming as we continue to get settled and figure out everything that comes with a big move like this! The kids are adjusting well, but will be going through another big transition as they start with a new daycare provider next week. I will be doing another post with pics of our new home soon, so stay tuned! I hope your week is going well & that you're finding blessings in the everyday things!

Changes.

Wow, this summer has flown by. At the beginning of July I accepted a full time position at Walgreens as part of the management team. It has taken a lot of getting use to for all of us, we are still adjusting to mommy not being home as much. I'm enjoying the work that I'm doing and am excited about staying with Walgreens as a company long term.

Our little man is walking now and quickly learning to run to keep up with his sister! He's loving being able to keep up with his sister, he's such a sweet baby and makes us laugh all the time with his goofy personality!

Kylie continues to amaze us with how smart she is, I swear she learns several new words daily! She just finished taking a 4 week swimming class at the ymca and loved it!! She could not wait to go swimming, daddy was able to be there for 2 of the lessons which was great! She is a typically 2.5 year and we're doing our best to try and teach her how to deal with her emotions!!

We are so thankful for our babies and that they are happy and healthy... that is honestly the most you can pray and ask for!

As we look ahead in the coming weeks, we are packing up the house and moving.... to MINNESOTA!! This move we thought long and hard about and spent a lot of time in prayer and the Lord has blessed us and supplied many things for us along this process! We will be moving to Two Harbors, MN and will be living 3 blocks from my oldest brother Brain & Sister in law Shannon (and their 4 awesome kiddos)! We will be renting a cute little house with 4 bedrooms, so the kids don't have to share a room anymore which is a huge answer to prayer! Our rent will be half of what we are paying for rent right now, so finically this is a very smart move for us. We are very excited to have a fresh start for our little family, JC has already spoken to the VW dealership in Duluth and will hopefully be starting work there within the first few days of us getting there. I am in conversation with the hiring manager with Walgreens for the Duluth area... so prayers that they can make room for me and that I can transfer as a manager would be much appreciated!

As excited as we are to make this move, we are sad to say bye to family, friends & co workers here. So if you could just keep us in your prayers as these next 2 weeks are going to be very stressful with packing up the house and preparing to say goodbye. We are planning on leaving Sunday August 14th as our current rental agreement ends on the 15th. JC and I will be working until next Friday the 12th... so I'm trying not to stress about finding the time to pack with both of us working full time.

We will keep you all updated as we make our long track from NH to MN on Facebook and Instagram! We were able to sell our car, so now we just have our santa fe that will pull a trailer behind it... this way we only need to pay for gas for one vehicle and we can all travel together as a family in one vehicle!! Prayers for our sanity as we drive roughly 26 hours with two young kids would be much appreciated!! ;) We brought Zeke to the humane society a little over a week ago (this was very emotional for JC and I as we have had Zeke since he was a baby and we got him shortly after our Maggie passed away) but we didn't think it was fair to him to move him half way across the country for the 3rd time. So for the first time since before we were even engaged we won't have a dog in our house... at least for right now!

So these are the big big changes happening in our life right now! We appreciate your prayers and look forward to sharing new updates from our new home in Two Harbors, MN!!

Hello May!

Thought this was a good reminder... God is & always will be in control!

He is such a little love!

We got Kylie an Elsa shirt... can you tell she's excited about it?!

Making time for my training runs with my babies!

This girl!

Wanted to get some pics of them... but they didn't want to look at the camera... stinkers!!

I make time for my yoga when everyone goes to bed. Such a great stress reliever.

Because sleeping babies are the best.

Lately all three of us end up in mommy & daddy's bed for a nap! (ps I can't get over his eyelashes!)

Yesterday I accomplished my longest run to date... 5 miles!! With the Newport 10 miler about a month away I'm feeling pretty good! These longer training runs seem to get a little easier each week! Thankful for my Sunday Rundays & time to my self and to just be Bee!
